2025 Host It Downtown event grant
The Host It event grant supports events with funds to create, expand or relocate an event downtown.

Programs and Services
Advocacy
We work with community partners and advocate on issues that are critical to increased economic downtown success including safety, homelessness and transportation.
Cleaning & Maintenance
The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ Enviro Team is passionate about keeping downtown sidewalks clean and accessible and the area free of litter and graffiti. A clean and vibrant downtown is our priority!
Public Realm
We create vibrant and welcoming public spaces that encourage people to work, live, shop and explore downtown. Through partnerships with the City, businesses and community organizations, the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ supports place-based designs and advocates for community initiatives.
Events & Engagement
The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ Events team works to create events that attract folks to our city’s core, and engage those who live, work and spend time downtown.
Marketing & Promotion
We are passionate about sharing our favourite downtown places and experiences and creating even more reasons to visit.
Safety & Outreach
We all want a clean, safe and inclusive downtown where everyone feels safe and welcome. Working to support downtown safety is an ongoing priority for the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ and our partners.
