The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ Enviro Team is passionate about keeping downtown sidewalks clean and accessible and the area free of litter and graffiti. A clean and vibrant downtown is our priority!
Cleaning & Maintenance
The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ Enviro Team operates seven days a week and helps keep the downtown clean and looking great. Members of the Enviro Team work to make downtown a welcoming and safe place for our members, employees and visitors.
Services the Enviro Team provides:
- Litter pick-up
- Flower watering
- Sidewalk snow/dirt removal
- Graffiti/poster removal
- Transit shelter cleaning
- Storefront pressure washing/deodorizing
- Window washing (lower floor only)
- Garbage removal
- Sidewalk patio washing
- Cleaning of hazardous material (e.g., biological waste)
- Emptying and installing cigarette and butt receptacles
- Third-party event support
- Supporting Downtown Winnipeg BIZ members in reporting items to 311 (example, large items to be removed, fly-tipping issues)
