The Wellness Center will provide those travelling from remote and northern locations with accommodations that far exceed the standards currently available in existing facilities. This project is the result of the hard work of Chief Smoke, who has led the community for the last 25 years. The community of Orville Smoke Wellness Centre is one of the smallest in the Province of Manitoba and has struggled to receive adequate funding for their people. Chief Smoke and the Economic Development team at Orville Smoke Wellness Centre hope that this facility represents a historic step towards self-sufficiency and independence for their people, providing jobs, training and opportunity to their members.
