In For Lunch 2009

Winnipeg’s Chinese community is kicking off Chinatown’s 100th anniversary by displaying 100 bright red lanterns throughout downtown.

Rapid Transit Expert in ‘Peg

With bus rapid transit coming to downtown Winnipeg, Graham Mall and the downtown will be even busier with more bus riders. American expert G.B. Arrington will be in town to talk about the land development possibilities connected with transit at a free public session on Thursday, November 20, noon to 2pm at Globe Cinema, 3rd Floor, Portage Place. So far, over 70 people are registered to attend.

Signal Box Makeover

Six downtown transit electric boxes will be morphing from black boxes to works of art as the Downtown BIZ kicks off another set of paintings to spice up our urban environment.

Rapid Transit Coming to Town

The City and Province announced plans for the first phase of a $327-million rapid transit system. The designated corridor will connect the University of Manitoba to downtown, running parallel to Pembina Highway from Bison Drive to Main Street, with a leg linking to the University of Winnipeg.
