NEW TOURS TO INTRODUCE EVENT ORGANIZERS TO DOWNTOWN OPPORTUNITIES: MAY 19

Downtown Winnipeg ─ A series of familiarization (FAM) tours will be coordinated in 2016 by the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ to invite event coordinators and planners interested in hosting events downtown, to tour venues and outdoor spaces, and to learn more about the incentives available to them.

“These tours are an opportunity for event organizers to get an insider-look at the opportunities available for event incubation downtown,” says Stefano Grande, Executive Director of the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ. “With our partners, we are able to provide tremendous in-kind support and sponsorship capacity. This is part of our on-going mission to position the downtown as the premier destination for events and entertainment.”

Media are invited to participate in the first tour on May 19:

LOCATION:
Beginning – Mountain Equipment Co-op (303 Portage Ave., main entrance)
Ending – Shaw Park
Participants will tour downtown via the Winnipeg Trolley Company
