Downtown’s biggest street party, Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries ManyFest, returns for 10th year

July 12, 2022, Treaty No. 1 Territory, Winnipeg, MB – Downtown Winnipeg’s largest street festival is returning for its 10th year this fall. After a two-year absence, Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries ManyFest returns to Broadway and Memorial from Sept. 9-11, 2022. Free to everyone and open to the public, this annual celebration of community, arts, entertainment, activities and family programming is set to be bigger and better than ever.

“As an event that welcomed over 40,000 attendees in 2019, we know ManyFest was greatly missed over the last couple of years,” says Jason Smith, President of Smith Events. “We recognize a lot has changed and many small businesses are still facing challenges.”

Event organizers are hard at work to make 2022’s festival more fun and exciting than ever. ManyFest Food Truck Wars is one of the main components of the festival, where food trucks go head-to-head to try and get the most votes for categories like “Best Presentation”, “Best Bang for your Buck” or “Most Original”.

ManyFest organizers want to line the streets with the best food trucks Manitoba has to offer and has extended its early-bird registration rate.

“Bringing large-scale events like ManyFest back downtown is key to economic recovery,” says Kate Fenske, CEO of Downtown Winnipeg BIZ. “Events draw people here, and it’s the people who add vibrancy to the neighbourhood and help improve safety.”

ManyFest will have fun for the whole family with Food Truck Wars, a local artisan market, a midway and kids’ zone, and live music on two stages. One of those two stages will be at the Lake of the Woods Brewing Co. Lakeside Lounge beer and wine garden, where guests will be able to take in music and entertainment, football game watching, fun games, and more.
