Change is inevitable, mental anguish is not!
High-income countries are currently in the grip of a silent epidemic of mental illness. In this workshop, participants will learn about some of the root causes and impacts on individuals and organizations.
Should organizational change efforts include mental health strategies aimed at mitigating negative psychological outcomes?
Participants will be challenged to assess personal assumptions around mental illness and whether they notice suffering occurring in their own workplaces.
We will review several change management practices (e.g. identify affected stakeholders, evaluate change impacts and assess change readiness), and discuss strategies that incorporate psychological health and safety principles.
