Pop-up Performance from the Winnipeg Summer Dance Collective

The Winnipeg Summer Dance Collective is made up of professional ballet dancers tied to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet seeking to make dance more accessible in Downtown Winnipeg through free pop-up performances. For the past four years they have created and taken dance from concrete to the Concert Hall, and everything in between.
This free performance will feature new commissioned works from WSDC Resident Choreographer Bryce Taylor and choreographer Julianne Chartier. A regular breaker, Bryce (they/them) have also danced professionally for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and join us direct from Ballet Edmonton. They meld contemporary, ballet, and hip hop influences into a smooth, vibrant style. Julianne Chartier (she/her) is a rising talent on the Winnipeg choreography scene. We look forward to presenting a new solo and duo from her rep! Featuring dancers Chloe Bennett and Irene Blanc Zoco.
