Downtown is special because of the people here – the business owners, the residents, the workers and the community – that includes you! We’re so excited to see you downtown again, we decided to throw a contest that’s all about this wonderful neighbourhood.
For the next four weeks, we’ll be giving away prize packs featuring fabulous staycations and gift cards from downtown businesses. Watch the video featuring JP Hoe to win!

There are two ways to enter the contest:
- For one entry per social media site: like and share each week’s contest announcement post on social media (Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook – or on all three for extra entries!). On Instagram, simply tag your friends.
- For 10 entries per social media site: post a selfie at, or a photo of a downtown location featured in the video on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook and use #DowntownSoundsContest.
NOTE: if you have a private account, you’ll have to DM us a screenshot so we can see your entries.
To enter each week’s contest, like and share each week’s post or post a new photo. Pick your favourite platform (Twitter, Facebook or Instagram) or post to all three for triple the entries.
Each contest period starts on a Friday and ends on a Thursday at 7 a.m. Winners will be chosen using a random number generator and posted on Downtown Winnipeg BIZ social media on Tuesdays after each week’s contest closes. Winner must be able to pick up their prize from our downtown office (426 Portage Ave.).
