Note: A Downtown Winnipeg BIZ member is a for-profit business located within the Downtown Winnipeg Business Improvement Zone. Membership is automatic upon starting operations in the zone and includes access to our programs, services, and advocacy efforts.
As a result, the following categories are exclusive to for-profit organizations within the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ zone. Not-for-profit organizations, Crown Corporations, and Government Institutions that offer services within these categories are not included.
The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ is divided into seven zones each with its own unique characteristics.
Year-to-date data represents the cumulative total from January of the current year up to the present date.

Business activity is tracked by our Downtown Winnipeg BIZ Ambassadors who capture business openings, closures, and moves during their routine member check-ins.
Monthly business activity data is updated in the first week of each month and reports on the previous month’s activity.
