Mentoring Artists for Women's Art (MAWA) is a Winnipeg-based organization that supports the intellectual and creative development of women and non-binary visual artists through a core mentorship program. Established in 1984, MAWA provides a peer-supported, intergenerational community where senior artists share expertise, networks, and knowledge with emerging artists in a year-long Foundation Mentorship Program, fostering professional growth and redressing gender inequality in the arts.
