The Manitoba Status of Women Secretariat, now known as Gender Equity Manitoba (GEM), works to promote gender equality and improve the economic, social, legal, and health status of women and 2SLGBTQI+ people in Manitoba. The Secretariat also works to increase awareness of services and contribute to ending violence and exploitation against women.
