Watch Ambassadors are responsible for promoting a safer and friendlier downtown by helping with directions and promoting concerts, events, attractions to see and do downtown. They also help monitor streets, sidewalks and the skywalk systems and serve as extra “eyes and ears” to assist the Winnipeg Police Service, Emergency Medical System, Outreach services and the community.
Reporting to the Manager of Maintenance, Cleanliness & Placemaking and Supervisor, this position is responsible for maintenance and cleanliness tasks that contribute to clean and vibrant downtown. This role is responsible for continuous upkeep of public and private spaces to contribute to a cleaner and more appealing image in various districts of the downtown, including the SHED (The Sports, Hospitality and Entertainment District), Portage Ave, Graham Mall, Broadway and others.
