Downtown Ignites a Sacred Fire in Honour of Assembly of First Nations Conference: Dec. 8
A sacred fire will be lit on December 8 at 9:00 a.m. at the beginning of what will be a full-day of ceremonies in honour of the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) Special Chiefs Assembly.
Downtown BIZ Takes Home National Tourism Award
The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ was one of fifteen organizations and individuals honoured by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) as a recipient of the 2014 Canadian Tourism Awards, presented at a gala ceremony at the Westin Ottawa Hotel last night.

‘Flash Photography Festival’ Closing Reception to be Hosted by Downtown BIZ Oct. 27
Shutterbugs will unite at the Flash Photography Festival’s closing reception at Rudy’s Eat and Drink (located in Manitoba Hydro) on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. Members of the media, general public, and business owners are also invited to attend, to learn more about art and design and how it is good for business.
