TWO EVENTS AND TWO CULTURES TO MEET ON EDMONTON STREET: TODAY AT 11 AM

Today at 11:00am, Manito Ahbee and ManyFest are joining forces, with one common goal – to celebrate our great city in an inclusive manner.

Fancy dancers and the newly crowned Miss Manito Ahbee, Alexa Girard from Moorhead, Minnesota, will dance with a hand drummer down the Edmonton pathway, which joins the two festivals. The Manito Ahbee dancers will be met by staff of Downtown Winnipeg BIZ where the two festivals will unite and continue their walk to ManyFest and celebrate both festivals with a round dance.

About Manito Ahbee:
The Manito Ahbee Festival celebrates and showcases Aboriginal music, art and culture in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The Festival components include: Youth Cultural Education Day, International Competition Pow Wow, Indigenous Marketplace and Trade Show, and the Indigenous Music Awards.

About ManyFest:

Since its inception, ManyFest has attracted well over 100,000 people to downtown Winnipeg for an open, outdoor showcase of talent, community, and healthy living on the streets of downtown Winnipeg, beneath Broadway’s beautiful elm trees.
