ONE MONTH TO MANYFEST: DOWNTOWN’S BIGGEST STREET PARTY RETURNS SEPTEMBER 8-10

Winnipeg, Manitoba – Winnipeggers only have one month to wait until downtown Winnipeg’s biggest street party, ManyFest, returns with food and fun for all ages. The 7th Annual Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries ManyFest will once again animate Broadway and Memorial from September 8-10 with an energetic atmosphere of food, entertainment, arts, health and happiness to draw people into the heart of the city.

“ManyFest is truly a community festival bringing people together, downtown, from all corners of the city to enjoy Broadway, its rich history and a weekend filled with musicians, artisans, and fun activities,” says Stefano Grande, Chief Executive Officer of the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ.

The 2017 line-up of food trucks in the Food Truck Wars is the biggest it has ever been with over 30 food trucks. The Food Truck Wars promises to once again be a delight for taste buds as the trucks compete for Best Presentation, Best Bang for Your Buck, Most Original and People’s Choice. Presented by Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba, the first food truck festival of its kind in the city features a huge variety that lines both sides of an entire block of Memorial from Broadway to York. A full list of this year’s food trucks is available at www.manyfest.ca.

Festival attendees will appreciate the local focus of the Farmery Estate Brewery beer and wine gardens. We’re thrilled to announce a brand new partnership with this Manitoba brewer. Farmery Estate Brewery brews, including their lager, pale ale, berry ale, pink lemonade and hard iced tea, along with a selection of red and white wines, will pair perfectly with the tasty selections from Food Truck Wars.

Once again, Manitoba musicians will provide the soundtrack for the weekend with the two entertainment stages, presented by POP Entertainment and Management. New in 2017, the Kennedy stage at Kennedy and Broadway will feature emerging Manitoba artists. Both the main stage (Broadway at Memorial) and the Kennedy stage will feature a variety of local artists, including Indigenous musicians as curated by Manito Ahbee.

Most of the ManyFest favourites are back again in 2017 including Ciclovia, the Running Room’s Winnipeg 10 + 10 Race presented by Investors Group, the Farmers’ and Artisan Market featuring over 50 local vendors, kids’ activity zone and the Movie in the Park, which takes place Sunday and this year will feature the animated film, Sing. Jeep will also be on site offering test drives.
