Grolle Fine Art
- Studio 24 - 81 Garry Street Fort Garry Place
Artwork that spans a collection of disciplines and cultures inspire the synergy and style that makes Grolle Fine Art what it is today.
“The works of art we exhibit are chosen not only to look aesthetically good, but to provide value for the customer and hopefully they can appreciate it over time,” says Ludolf Grolle, owner of Grolle Fine Art. “We do this by ensuring the artwork satisfies our criteria, which in turn simplifies your decision making process.”
Ludolf, an artist himself, started as an international banker, but left his comfortable lifestyle to pursue his passion for art and to support other artists in the community. “I don’t want to follow the market, but lead it,” says Ludolf. “I have my own model and like to help other artists by recognizing their vision and who they are as an artist.”
Ludolf, along with his assistant Margaret, provide clients with a holistic picture of his artists by understanding and capturing their perspectives, philosophies and inspirations that influence their works of art. These artists include Rhea Carmi, Clyde Finlay, Margaret Switala, Inga Torfodottir, Megan Vun Wong, and more, where art pieces range from $750 to $25,000 in value.
The art gallery is committed to delivering a positive client experience – for buyers and artists alike. “We are open to customizing our product and service offerings to meet specific requirements,” says Ludolf. “We understand the importance of good work to ensure that we seamlessly place the art from the artist to the buyer.”
Located on the lower level of Fort Garry Place, Ludolf recognizes the strengths of downtown Winnipeg and saw it’s “Where its at.” “I love the bustle, the activity and the drive it gives me to become more of a destination,’ says Ludolf. “With the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, all the wonderful development plans and the city’s enhanced cultural agenda – this reassures me of all the possibilities of downtown and that I have made a wise decision to choose this location for my gallery.”
