ADDITIONAL MOVIE SCREENING ADDED FOR CHINATOWN STREET FESTIVAL’S FIRST NIGHT: AUGUST 28-30

Downtown Winnipeg – The streets of Chinatown will come alive with lion dances, Chinese Kung Fu, children’s activities and games, free martial arts lessons, and Chinese cultural performances for the 7th year of the Chinatown Street Festival on August 28-30.

New this year, a night market with vendors from the Chinese community and familiar favourites from the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ’s farmers’ market and an outdoor movie screening at sundown, will help welcome the larger Winnipeg community to discover this vibrant cultural district.

On Friday and Saturday of the festival, Winnipeggers will enjoy screenings of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Rush Hour 3.
