As thousands of people come downtown for the first Jets home game of the season, they will be treated to giveaways and music programmed by the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ. Businesses are also getting into the festive spirit, with great deals and promotions and TVs all glued to the game, in addition to pre- and post-game coverage.

With more and more restaurants opening up in the downtown, the return of the Manitoba Moose and the Winnipeg Jets, and growing night time vibrancy, the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ have added 5 additional Downtown Watch ambassadors and 5 Metro Enviro-Team members to enhance safety and cleanliness services in the evenings, specifically around event destinations.
Get behind the lens of 15 photographers, both novice and experienced, at the inaugural #finditdowntown photo exhibit at Portage Place Shopping Centre, as their exclusively curated photos and 4,000 others submitted by the community, will be shared
To add to the ongoing efforts to beautify the public realm and to strengthen local downtown businesses by supporting the visual appeal of their buildings, the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ, with the support of Portage Place Shopping Centre unveiled 9 new artworks designed by 7 artists from the community, as part of the second installation of the Urban Art Gallery initiative.
With only 6 days left before the 5th annual CEO Sleepout takes over Portage and Main, the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ is proud to announce that $100,000 has already been raised with the support of 135 participating CEOs, community leaders, and members of the media.
