400 Winnipeggers Get a Taste of Downtown with 10 Tours, 40 Restaurants and 150KM of Gorgeous Scenery
10 tours will offer Winnipeggers even more opportunities to delve deeper into what downtown has to offer and to discover the hidden gems that give our city its character.
Adorned in green Earth Day bandanas, 450+ business leaders, community members and local celebrities arrived in droves to make our corner of the earth a little bit greener at the Downtown BIZ’s 9th annual Earth Day Clean-up, in honour of National Earth Day.
Over 300 business and community members will hit the streets of downtown Winnipeg on April 22nd for the Downtown BIZ’s 9th annual Earth Day Clean-up, in honour of National Earth Day.
The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ’s popular indoor farmers’ market at the Manitoba Hydro Place Gallery opened up for a one-day market on March 27, bringing together about 30 vendors to sell baked goods, perogies, vinegars, jams and preserves, potatoes as well as a variety of meats including bison and pastured pork and chicken.
The Bannock Factory has a lot of irons in the fire — or rather, loaves in the oven. The business, which usually prepares its bannock at a bakery in Charleswood which they rent space from after-hours, is expanding its scope of late.
