Over $100,000 Raised

Forty Winnipeg CEOs and community leaders spent last night at Portage & Main to raise awareness for homelessness and together raised $107,000 to employ homeless people. It was all part of Winnipeg’s first CEOs for Downtown Sleepout event in support of the Downtown BIZ’s Change for the Better program.

Prov. Parties Q&A

The three major provincial parties discussed their platforms on key downtown issues at a Downtown Forum held by the Downtown BIZ on September 19 at Portage Place. Their answers to a list of key questions about downtown were also released. Topics included downtown safety, rapid transit, and creating more living spaces downtown.

Wide Awake in Winnipeg

Bob Cox is way down the list, by the way, but well worth the search.

I haven’t attended a sleepover in a long time. The last one, as I recall, involved a lot of eyeshadow, much mockery of pyjamas, and no sleep whatsoever.
