The winner of the world class Lights on Broadway lighting design competition has been awarded: EPIC Production Technologies!
Downtown Watch volunteers logged almost 3,000 more hours last year than in 2009, also doubling in numbers since 2008. This means that downtown streets have become safer, and also that more Winnipeggers are getting the customer service skills and experience they need to move forward in their careers.
To celebrate the Chinese Year of the Rabbit, the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ is now accepting entries for the annual Chinatown Banner Competition. The winning banner design will be displayed in Chinatown for the duration of the year, beginning on February 3, Chinese New Year.
The recent decision to allow the 129-year-old Shanghai Restaurant building in Chinatown to be demolished showcases the clash between preserving our city’s history and moving our downtown forward.
