Design Competition Lights Up Broadway

Downtown lights up during the Lights on Broadway Lighting Design Competition happening September 11 and 12. Sponsored by Manitoba Hydro, three world-renowned lighting designers from across North America have come to Winnipeg to light up the elm trees on Broadway with their own unique designs.

The biggest weekend of the year is about to hit Winnipeg when Lights on Broadway brings music, art, light, food, wine and sport to downtown. Happening September 10-12, five spectacular events will take place on Broadway and in Memorial Park.

The Winnipeg Chinese Cultural and Community Centre will be hosting the 2nd Annual Winnipeg Street Festival on Saturday, August 7, 2pm-10pm and Sunday, August 8, 2pm to 6pm.

CRUZ IN DOWNTOWN

The event begins with a parade of classic & special interest vehicles departing from Canad Inns Stadium at 11 am. This year’s official parade marshal is Peter Ginakes of the Pony Corral Restaurants & Bar.
